FAQ

FAQ

  • Are your treatments covered by insurance?

Yes! As a registered massage therapist, my massage therapy treatments are covered by most extended health insurance plans. Direct billing for insurance is available.

  • What payment options are available?

Payment is accepted in cash, debit and credit. Direct billing for extended health insurance plans is also available.

  • Is there on site parking?

Yes, there is ample parking for all out front of our fully accessible building. There is also additional parking at the back of the building.

  • Do I have to take my clothes off?

No. You will never be asked to do anything that you are uncomfortable with. You will only be asked to undress to the level of YOUR comfort for massage therapy treatments with oil and skin-to-skin contact.

  • Do you do deep tissue massage?

Don’t let my size fool you - I am stronger than I look! Deep tissue massage techniques can be very effective for some people, but not for everyone or for every type of treatment. I will only use deep pressure if it suits your comfort level and your goals for treatment.

Deep pressure is never necessary, and I can always provide you with an effective massage therapy treatment with only mild pressure.

  • Do you treat children?

You bet! I have experience working with newborns and children of all ages.

  • What massage oil do you use?

I use a custom massage oil blend that was created for me by Brett at StressLess Natural Solutions in Sarnia, ON. Brett makes beautiful natural products and I am happy to support another woman-owned local small business!

Oil blend Ingredients: sweet almond oil, safflower oil, olive oil, jojoba oil and vitamin E.

I also often use a simple fractionated-coconut oil. Coconut oil is nice and light, it absorbes well and nourishes the skin without leaving you feeling greasy after your massage.

You can also request an oil-free Thai massage!

  • I'm sick. Should I keep my appointment?

If you feel sick, you MUST cancel your appointment, especially if you suspect a fever. Your massage will be safer and more enjoyable once you feel better. Please note that the 24-hour cancellation policy still applies in the case of illness or emergency.

  • I’m self-conscious about (insert insecurity here).

Don’t be. I have seen it all. Breathe - You’re beautiful!
